‘Fuguushoku “Kanteishi” ga Jitsu wa Saikyou Datta’ Reveals Additional Cast, Theme Songs, Second Promo

The official website for the television anime adaptation of Ibarakino‘s Fuguushoku “Kanteishi” ga Jitsu wa Saikyou Datta: Naraku de Kitaeta Saikyou no “Shingan” de Musou suru (The Unfavorable Job “Appraiser” Is Actually the Strongest) light novel revealed three additional cast members, theme songs artists, and the second promotional video on Tuesday. The anime is scheduled to premiere on January 9 at 11:30 p.m. on Tokyo MX and BS11, followed by AT-X and TV Hokkaido.

Rock band ASTERISM is performing the opening theme “Crescendo,” and idol group 22/7 (Atri: My Dear Moments) is performing the ending theme “Rock wa Shinanai.” Both theme songs are previewed in the promotional video below.

Kenta Oonishi (Ore dake Haireru Kakushi Dungeon) is directing the anime at Okuruto Noboru. Touko Machida (Isekai Nonbiri Nouka) is handling the series composition and Sayuri Sakimoto (Sokushi Cheat ga Saikyou sugite, Isekai no Yatsura ga Marude Aite ni Naranai n desu ga.) is designing the characters. Satoshi Houno (Kekkon Yubiwa Monogatari) and Kaori Nakano (Tasogare Out Focus) are composing the music.

Ibarakino began penning the fantasy adventure novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in December 2019. Kodansha acquired the novel and published the first volume under its light novel imprint in October 2020, featuring illustrations by Yuu Hitaki. The third volume was released on July 2.

Morohoshi Fuji began drawing a manga adaptation in Magazine pocket in July 2020. The 13th volume was released on November 8, while the 14th volume is scheduled for release on January 8, 2025.

Kodansha USA licensed the manga adaptation for digital release in English in September 2021. The 11th volume went on sale on September 3.
